Nintendo designed its latest desktop platform, Switch, with one possibility in mind: players could take the system wherever they wanted and play whenever they wanted, with whomever they wanted, separating the Joy-Con controllers to make it possible for someone else to enjoy the experience.
Of course, one of the platform’s most important titles, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, couldn’t leave this feature behind. Some Reddit users have gotten an advance copy of the game and have been able to confirm that the title works perfectly with just one Joy-Con at all times.
This function is designed to share a controller with a friend or family member on certain specific occasions and not for long game sessions, as the controller is very small and has few buttons. Fortunately, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will support a variety of controllers, including the Pro controller and the GameCube Classic Controller.
