Here come new statements from  Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America. On this occasion, he has shared them in a recent encounter with The Verge and they are focused on two of Switch’s star releases of the year, Pokémon: Let’s Go and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, among other themes.

According to Reggie, the reserves of these games are registering record numbers in Nintendo Switch. “They’re recording the best we’ve seen on Nintendo Switch,” he shares. “The commitment of the consumer through all our digital activity has been exceptionally strong”.

He believes that, together with Super Mario Party, these titles will be key for the end of the year and he thinks they are well positioned with them: “This year, we think we are exceptionally well prepared for Christmas and we really have something for each type of player and every type of home. ” He also added that since Nintendo are working hard so that there is no shortage of stock of Nintendo Switch at Christmas, although it does not rule out that the console is sold out either.

Finally, in relation to 2019, the president has shared that “there are new surprises that have not yet shared”, since the company wants to “surprise and delight fans in ways they did not even think about”. We will be attentive to see what it is about.
