Shuntaro Furukawa: we have no plan to launch new Switch models or lower the console price

We have brought to you some exclusive words said by Shuntaro Furukawa, the president of Nintendo.

In an interview with the Japanese media Sankei News, he expresses his feelings about the current situation of Nintendo Switch games. He says that he’s happy because more than one million copies of Super Mario Party have been sold in just a month and More than three millions copies of Pokémon: Let’s Go have been sold in a week. He adds that more than 5 millions copies of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have been sold in just a week.

He declares that his team is expecting the goal of selling 20 million Nintendo Switch by the end of this fiscal year, which ends at the end of March.  He also shares that they are focusing on selling Nintendo Switch, so they have not thought about new models or reducing the price of the current model
