Nokia 8 analysis
Since the beginning of the year, Nokia has been showing us all the members of its new and varied catalog of Android smartphones in the gut, but we still had to analyze its proud representative within the high range. We talked, of course, of the Nokia 8, a flagship that brings out chest wearing a Snapdragon 835, dual camera under the signature of Zeiss and how could it be otherwise, Android stock running through his veins.
Having tested all these terminals in a step-by-step, we agree that Nokia’s commitment to bring them to the world with pure Android has been a success. However, with the latest of all, the Nokia 6, and despite the fluidity of the operating system, we feel that the power could have gone a step further, something that we already have not happened with this Nokia 8 and it’s Snapdragon 835. But what about the other specs? Has Nokia entered through the high-end door with this terminal? Let’s take a closer look.

Design: Nokia loves metal
That the Nokia 8 is pure and clean in its design is something we can see at a simple glance. And is that the Finnish company bet in this phone for aluminum as the main component for the chassis, saying goodbye to the plastic that accompanied completely mythical phones as the Nokia Lumia 520 and has recycled in one of its new terminals corresponding to the range of entry, the Nokia 3.
We could say that it gives an air to his little brother, the Nokia 6, however in the hand is not so similar, both the textures and the edges, which make it much more rounded. The sensations in terms of quality are good, favored in part by its metallic back with a matte finish, from which we can also add other adjectives like ‘resistant’ and ‘non-slip’.
We remember that this phone also comes with a model in a glossy finish, which we could see in our first impressions, trapping the traces very easily, something we can not say of this unit that we have tried, totally metallic and in which the prints they shine by their absence.
We said that the edges of this terminal are rounded, smooth and follow each other, which is translated in terms of ergonomics in a phone very comfortable in hand , something in which also contribute its dimensions 851.5 x 73.7 mm), not too prominent , and good compaction work that leaves it at 7.9 millimeters thick.
Aesthetically it is a telephone in which they have been spoiled the details, details that denote that comes prepared to fight with the strongest of the market. Of course, the company boasts its atavistic logo and inserts it in the back and top right corner of the screen.
And speaking of the screen, we go with one of those thorny issues of the moment: the use of the front by the latter. The calculations leave us with a percentage of screen ratio of 69.4%, which means that the Nokia 8 is far behind to be a flagship, this environment (that of flagships) in which figures below 70% they make us take our hands to the head.
