LG X4+

LG X4+, the new mid-range LG military certified and LG Pay-compatible mid-range LG

Although it will take a while for us to see a new flagship of LG, as the LG G7 (or LG G10, we still do not know what its name will be) will not arrive until mid-March, the company continues to expand its catalogue, even if for the time being in the mid-range and in his home country.

Thus, the South Koreans have just launched the new LG X4+, a mid-range that boasts resistance thanks to the military MIL-STD 810G certification it boasts, but with other specifications (especially in terms of power) that keep it on its feet in the lower mid-range.

Extreme resistance, moderate power

As we say, one of the main features of the new phone is its resistance to extreme situations certified by the military standard MIL-STD 810G.

This standard provides resistance in six different categories:

shock, vibration, high and low temperatures, drastic temperature changes (known as thermal collapse and responsible for breakage of materials such as glass) and humidity.

As for the rest of the specifications, we have some that make us remember clearly that it is a medium range not too powerful, and others that place it in a better position. The first case has to do with design and power because the terminal has a 5.3-inch IPS screen that stays with a fairly low resolution (HD of 1280×720 pixels).

The LG X4+ has certified resistance in six different categories including impact or thermal collapse.

The power also stays slim, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor running at 1.4 GHz that comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The cameras have a configuration, which without being low is fairly standardized in the midrange, with 13 megapixels in the main and 5 in the front. The battery has an amperage of 3000 mAh, which could give it a good autonomy considering its power and low screen resolution.

As we see it is a terminal with fairly limited specifications for demanding audiences, but with others that give it a very interesting bonus. Among them, we highlight that it has NFC technology (this is something we miss in some middle range very well valued) that allows compatibility with LG’s payment system, LG Pay. It also features a Hi-Fi DAC (a digital-to-analog signal converter) for better sound quality.

LG X4+ prices and Versions

At the moment, LG’s new resilient medium range will only be sold in North Korea, although we do not know if it will make the leap to other markets. It will be released in a single configuration of 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and in two colors, blue and violet. On its price, we know that this will be around 220 euros per change.
