Fisker Emotion, the future rival of the Tesla Model S … if it is manufactured

Being still a vehicle of presence, the new Fisker Emotion is shaping up as a possible rival of the Tesla Model S P100D or the future Porsche Mission E (planned for 2020). All this as long as it finally happens, since today we have not even assigned a plant for its manufacture. In spite of this, the brand accepts reservations on its website after paying $ 2,000 reimbursable.

This amount will be deducted from the final price of the vehicle, set at $ 129,000. But what does Fisker offer for these more than one hundred thousand euros? Well, a luxury sedan, sporty, with all-wheel drive, high performance, and autonomous driving dose.

Its electric propulsion system, composed of several engines that develop a total power of 575 KW (about 780 hp), enables it to reach a top speed of 260 km / h and accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in less than 3 seconds. On paper, the brand announces a maximum autonomy that can exceed 400 miles (about 640 km). Its ultra-fast load allows you to have 200 km in just 9 minutes.

The aesthetics of EMotion is spectacular, clearly aerodynamic and sporty. In fact, it bears the personal stamp of its creator, Henri Fisker, who worked as a designer for such important firms as Aston Martin and BMW.

Not only is its five-meter-long silhouette impressive, so is the vertical opening of the four side doors, which give way to an interior for four or five occupants, depending on your choice. The interior is very clear and minimalist, without any type of keypad; all controls are digital.

The vehicle has enormous wheels with 24-inch wheels and has a diffuser and skirts made of carbon fiber, material that helps to lighten the weight of the set. It also equips laser measurement sensors (LIDAR) and all the necessary hardware so that the car can have level 4 autonomous driving.

The Fisker Emotion is expected to hit the market in a couple of years. By then, other electric models will be in sales, such as the first Audi e-Tron, the Jaguar i-Pace, and the aforementioned Porsche Mission E.
